2009 Summer Kitchen Tour
NPT’s Fifth Annual Summer Kitchens Tour was held on Thursday, July 16 and highlighted kitchens in the historic Fair Street neighborhood. Each year this special event illustrates how historic homes can be sensitively updated or historic kitchens incorporated into everyday life.
The Kitchen Boutique waslocated in the St. Paul's garden, and offered a variety of unique tableware and kitchen items, as well as a book-signing by our featured speaker, Ms. Nancy Carlisle. Ms. Carlisle, culinary historian and author of America's Kitchens, discussed the history of America's kitchens from the seventeenth century to the present.
