2009 Summer Kitchen Tour

NPT’s Fifth Annual Summer Kitchens Tour will be held on Thursday, July 16 from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. and will highlight kitchens in the historic Fair Street neighborhood. Each year this special event illustrates how historic homes can be sensitively updated or historic kitchens incorporated into everyday life. The Kitchen Boutique will be located in the St. Paul's garden, and offers a variety of unique tableware and kitchen items.

The tour also will highlight local chefs who will demonstrate a favorite recipe and provide treats for the participants along the way. Tour Tickets $40. Click here to order tickets

New this year - Breakfast Lecture! Ms. Nancy Carlisle, culinary historian and author of America's Kitchens, will discuss the history of America's kitchens from the seventeeth century to the present.

Guests will enjoy a gourmet, fixed price breakfast at 29 Fair Street before embarking on the tour. Tickets are limited, please call for details.

2009 August Fête

An evening of fun, food, and preservation pointers in 'Sconset. The August Fête, on Thursday, August 6, is a feast for the eyes and palette. The evening will be comprised of a progressive tour of historic cottages restored to accommodate modern life while keeping their architectural integrity intact.

The ocean-view garden reception will feature strolling musicians, delectable hors d'oeuvres and beverages as well as Spanky's Raw Bar - the perfect opportunity to relax and discuss preservation tips & techniques with like-minded neighbors.
