(2nd Floor) East Chamber Room: Natasha Willauer Interiors
Growing up on India Street, I have walked the tree lined, brick covered sidewalks countless times. Each day peering into windows and through back gates, hoping to notice something special I had not seen before. Early on I became equally fascinated with the interiors of these historic Nantucket homes, most built by sea captains who became prosperous through marine trade. Many of these houses were decorated and furnished with exotic wares, brought back from far away lands; thus, my inspiration of the second floor East Chamber at the Charles Hussey House - “A Celebration of the India Trade”.
