(1st Floor) Buttery Room: Forager House Studio
The inspiration for the palette of this small office/gallery comes from two forms of early American ceramics: Peters and Reed marbleized ware and form a of soft paste pottery affectionately known as “Spinach and Mustard.” The bookcase displays collections of the ceramics as well as sailor’s lace, containers made by sailors for their loved ones. A collection of old Nantucket maps adorn the wall, mingled with architectural pieces.
