“Summertime and the living is easy…”
Here, in this beautiful place, one is reminded of childhood days at the beach: water-skiing, charades, sailing regattas, tennis; these all say “summer” to me. Pure silk draperies and the best upholstered furniture by Décor, Boston’s premier upholsterer, are combined with antiques that are at home in this classic setting. This friendly atmosphere invites one to relax and linger. This gentle yet imposing landmark, “Seaweeda,” has the knack for enduring. Who wouldn’t fall in love with this house full of sunshine? In this design, I wanted to create the feeling that nothing is too precious to be used. Elegance can be practical; the integration of design and comfort is my rule. Finally, what sets a room apart is incorporating truly fine paintings. It is art and antiques together that elevate a room and make it unique in the world.
