| Summer Kitchens Tour |
The NPT's Fourth Annual Summer Kitchens House Tour was held Thursday, July 17th, in the Centre Street/North Water Street neighborhood, and featured 10 kitchens. Over 600 people attended the event and enjoyed a rare opportunity to view historic homes that incorporate modern features, while at the same time preserving historic character. Some houses offered a viewing of hidden gardens as well. Guests were treated to a sampling of fare by celebrity chefs and shopped for unique home items at the Kitchen Boutique.
The NPT wishes to thank all those who offered their homes for the tour, the boutique vendors, and of course all of our hard-working volunteers.

August Fête |
The 2008 August Fete was held in the historic Mill Street area on Thursday, August 7th and showacased six of Nantucket's historic interiors. Guests had the opportunity to tour 18th and 19th century houses, including the home of Obed Macy, Nanctucket's first historian. A special treat was Brian FitzGibbon's demonstration of proper window restoration. In addition, attendees had the pleasure of touring the magnificent garden at Morrs' End. The reception - also at Moors' End - included food by Sfoglia, plus Spanky's Raw Bar and wines from The Cellar.
Our thanks goes out to all who attended and supported the August Fete, particularly those who opened their houses. The success of this event would not be possible without our committee and volunteers.
