Join us for the August Fête !

Join is for the 2024 August Fête, “A Night on Nantucket’s North Shore,” on Thursday, August 8!

This year’s Fête will be held at 34 West Chester Street, the c. 1722 Richard Gardner III House. Tour inside one of the best preserved early 18th century homes on the island. The house, protected by a preservation easement held by Historic New England, was recently meticulously restored, and homeowners Karli and Jim Hagedorn won NPT’s Michelle Elzay Architectural Preservation Award in 2022.

The Fête also includes tours of 19 West Chester Street, a c. 1829 home originally built on Cliff Road, that was moved to West Chester Street in 1894 and served as part of the Nantucket Cottage Hospital from 1927 to 1957, and 29 West Chester Street, a quintessential American Foursquare house built in 1925 by island builder Horace L. Gibbs. Explore three centuries of Nantucket’s architectural history!

Join us for delicious food and cocktails from Nantucket Catering Company, a raw bar by LegaSea Nantucket, and live music from the Shep Cats, all in a spectacular setting overlooking the Lily Pond.

The Sense of Place auction will accompany the Fête and is your chance to bid on exclusive experiences like sail with best selling historian Nathaniel Philbrick aboard his 38-foot yawl, Phebe, or a bread baking lesson with Something Natural owners Sheila and Matt Fee.
